Rafe Uddin is editor of Newsdirect Scotland’s Parliament Today daily bulletin service. In the last year he has led Newsdirect’s reporting on the Hate Crime Bill and COVID regulations, playing a significant role in reporting Scottish and UK government press conferences.
Prior to joining Newsdirect he worked as a researcher for Adam Tomkins in Holyrood on placement with the John Smith Centre. Rafe read History & Politics at the University of Glasgow and graduated in 2020. During his studies, he was an editor of the university’s magazine and newspaper.
Having worked alongside Kezia Dugdale and the John Smith Centre on race equality issues, he remains passionate about the ways good policy can improve outcomes for ethnic minorities and working-class people.
