Kieran takes care of all policy matters relating to children, young people and education at Newsdirect in Wales. This includes children’s rights, curriculum reform, teachers, research, and some Welsh language affairs.

Before joining Newsdirect in 2021, Kieran worked on an employment and skills project for people with sensory loss.

Prior to university, he was Deputy Youth Mayor of Bridgend County Borough and represented Bridgend in Funky Dragon (the Welsh Youth Parliament’s precursor) and the UK Youth Parliament. He also spent a year representing young people’s interests on the Climate Change Commission for Wales.

Kieran stepped back from these roles when he went to Swansea University to study Ancient History, which he followed up with an MSc in International Management from Cardiff University.

Kieran spends his time listening to music, brushing up on various languages, and planning trips he probably won’t go on. Don’t ask him about his time in Paris, he’ll start telling you about how he believes he can technically claim he “fell off” the Eiffel Tower!

Why we are different

We disrupted the political monitoring market in 2000 and, though we're bigger and bolder now, we've maintained a person-centred process throughout.
