Emma joined the Newsdirect team in May 2022 as the monitoring lead for the education, skills and rural economy portfolio. Since then, she has been appointed as Senior Researcher and assists the team with the analysis of parliamentary business and research for marketing and sales activity. Alongside this role, Emma studies Public Policy Research MRes at the University of Glasgow, which she hopes will enhance her knowledge of specialist areas of public policy.
She previously studied English Language and Linguistics and Social and Public Policy at the University of Glasgow and has worked with a number of elected members, such as the Secretary of State for Scotland.
In her spare time, she enjoys talking about Stranraer (her hometown) and writing blogs, and has a keen interest in all things academia.
We disrupted the devolved political monitoring market in 2000 and joined DeHavilland in 2025. Though we're bigger and bolder now, we've maintained a person-centred process throughout.
