Ash is Newsdirect’s Scotland’s justice and rights lead, working as account manager to a range of professional bodies, commissioner organisations and charities. He joined Newsdirect during the 2021 election campaign, watching with interest as the new parliament has formed.

He studied law at the University of Glasgow where he developed his interest in justice and human rights issues, before completing a masters in Media and Communications at the University of Strathclyde. Prior to joining Newsdirect he was working as a freelance researcher and copywriter.

Outside of work he loves the theatre, stand up, Kate Bush, dog walks, spy novels and Pringles.
