Scottish LibDem conference, Friday 30 – Saturday 31 October
Another weekend, another party conference! Scottish LibDems will gather online this Friday and Saturday to debate policy motions, unveil conference candidates and hear from party leaders.
Keynote speeches are scheduled from Willie Rennie, Ed Davey and Wendy Chamberlain (Chief Whip and spokesperson for Scotland and Wales). A European perspective will be provided by Sophie in ‘t Veld, the Dutch MEP and member of the Democrat 66 party.
Policy motions for debate are on student parents, climate change, federal UK, economic development, shipbuilding, starting school (kindergarten stage), fuel poverty, housing/homelessness and integrated transport. On Saturday morning, the party will host a ‘policy pitch’ session for organisations and activists, which was a popular item at the 2019 conference in Hamilton, despite the early start.
