COSLA, St Andrews, 10-11 October
COSLA’s theme this year is 20 Years of Devolution and features keynote speeches from Nicola Sturgeon, Gordon Brown and Aileen Campbell (Cabinet Secretary for Communities & Local Government). A political panel discussion will feature Sarah Boyack, Donald Cameron, Alex Cole-Hamilton, Patrick Harvey and John Swinney. Fringe sessions are being led by NHS Healthcare Improvement Scotland, the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership, Zero Waste Scotland and Crown Estate Scotland. Other fringes and workshops are on participatory budgeting, education, public health, fiscal empowerment, childcare expansion and community learning and development.
Scottish Greens, Inverness, 12-13 October
A new location for the Scottish Greens this autumn as they head up the A9 to Inverness. Across a two-day event, there will be 7 hours of debate on policy motions alongside keynote speeches and plenary sessions. The first list of motions was sent out to members/branches for ranking and amendment and is now compiled into the final agenda.
SNP Conference, TECA (Aberdeen), 13-15 October
Aberdeen’s newly-opened conference centre, TECA (aka P&J Live) is the venue for the SNP’s autumn gathering. A busy three days is expected, especially across the fringe programme. The final list of resolutions and amendments for each session has now been published and we’ve produced a shorter at-a-glance summary. The Final Agenda – including fringe meetings – is now available.
